Puerto Vallarta 2017

Puerto Vallarta - Feb 2017 Chapter 4

It is now day 6 in Puerto Vallarta. I took some shots of the grounds on my way to the gym this morning. It’s amazing how much of the architecture is like the Club Regina in Los Cabos. The richness of the colors, the natural beauty of the gardens, and general look is so much like the Los Cabos property, I’m certain the same architect did both sites.

Having lunch after the gym, and now ready for a relaxing afternoon. It’s still several hours until Happy Hour. ;o)

There are a couple of Mexican restaurants a short walk from the resort, and tonight we ventured to the first one. They made great margaritas, and the pizza was really good. I love the chips and salsas they serve with every meal.

It’s hard for me to keep up with Pete when he’s headed for the pool. I’m glad he has the type of skin that can handle direct sunlight for hours and hours. Being half Irish, I’ve inherited my mothers fare Irish skin, and although I used to love getting a sun tan, at my age I now have to be very careful. I always seek the shade, and still get plenty of reflected sunlight to produce an adequate mount of Vitamin D.

I took a tour through the resort and took photos of the artistic displays they filled the spaces with. These tall, hairless ladies were everywhere.

I loved the Mexican art. This painting makes the subject appear to come to life on the canvas.

I never got tired of walking through these beautiful gardens. Near the Inizio there was one whole section set aside for spices and herbs for the kitchen.

We had dinner at the Inizio again, and enjoyed a martini before ordering.

On Day 10, we found a quiet place near the Spa where the air was permeated with the aroma of the oils being used for massages. I was too relaxed already to need a massage. ;o)

The sky was on fire this evening. Pete, by this time, has gotten so tan he could easily pass for a local.
