Part 7
We are getting ready to leave for Paris, as we need to board our boat for the cruise to Normandy at around 4 PM. But first I take a walk around Bruce's property and take a few photos. I really love the place. It is so Country French.

The side of Bruce's home. I love the ivy growing on the wall. I am standing in the garden.

I am now up on a hill, looking at the back of the house. Notice the ivy growing almost up to the peak of the roof.

The whole place is so lush and green. Pete is now scouting around. I remember going to Bruce's farm in New Zealand. It was in a beautiful area, and he had I don't remember how many hectors of land, and pretty much devoid of trees. He spent weeks or months planting trees all over his property. They couldn't have been more than a foot or two tall. Pete and I helped him water them. Of course, that was many years ago, and the trees are all mature by now, and probably worth a small fortune. It is ecologically minded people like Bruce who are going to save this planet. We certainly can't rely on our politicians to do it. I'd better not get started. LOL

Bruce has a great treehouse in the back yard, and I'll bet Sam really loves playing in that. I know I would.

Another view of the rear and other side of the house. It is two stories, with the bedrooms being upstairs. The sky lights you can barely see on the roof, let in lots of light and fresh air in the bedrooms. That door leads directly into the kitchen. Some major work faces Bruce in repairing the wall to the left.

I think this is a lilac bush, but I'm not certain. I'm really bad with the names of plants. I didn't get that merit badge.

The car is in the driveway, and we are about ready to load up and return to Paris.

We've really had a wonderful time here in the countryside, touring with Bruce. He's a great tour guide.

It is now time to say farewell to this stage of our adventure. I for one am sad to go, but I will definitely return.
So ends Part 7. In Part 8 we will be boarding the Viking Spirit, and start a new phase in this adventure.
