Pete's 59th BDay! Feb 3, 2021 Where did the years go? Unfortunately, this year we couldn't have friends over, usually I love to have a dinner with friends to share a nice meal and spend some time together but this year it was just Ron and I and the kitty katz!
Ron does his magic making me my favorite, German Chocolate Cake!
Ron is a master at baking.
Lola and Rocky were supervising!
They have to make sure Ron does it right!
The delicious coconut pecan icing!
Ron does an amazing job, as always!
Another amazing creation!
However, Ron ran out of icing to complete the cake, I told him, "That's your piece!"
How can you go wrong with something that is called "Super Duper!"
Ron asked me what I wanted for my birthday dinner, I told him, "Plane tickets to Hawaii!" Since that is not an option at the moment, I said, "Beef stroganoff!" Ron found a new slow cooker recipe to try.
While Ron was finishing the cake, I went to buy some empanadas for lunch, there is a place right across the park and they are SOOOOO YUMMY!
We play cards every night before dinner, birthdays are no exception!
We had some cheese, paté and caviar on cream cheese for appetizers while playing cards.
We've been having rain for a week and suddenly the sun broke through the clouds and lit up the skyline. It's our summer now and the park was filled with kids enjoying being outdoors!
Time for dinner! Cheers! To life!
Formal attire required! The meal turned out very nice, and with some Argentine Malbec and Ron's German Chocolate cake for dessert, it was a great birthday.
Our Friend Alberto posted a message with some photos from previous dinners together to remember great times shared with friends!
And our friend Hernán posted a message with more great memories of previous dinners together!
I am so grateful for my wonderful life with Ron, my family, kitties, and our friends!
