Thanksgiving - Kahlua Pumpkin Pies

Thanksgiving 2020 begins! I went shopping for our dinner on Thursday!  This pavita (small turkey) did not get pardoned! Now we can start, I have my gin, a good wine and a big pumpkin for Ron to make my Kahlua Pumpkin Pie!

I sent away for this recipe book over 30 years ago, and we use it every holiday season. The hardest part is deciding on Kahlua Pumpkin Pie or Kahlua Pecan Pie, sometimes Ron makes both.

I lost this book once and I started to panic, I searched the internet and even contacted the Kahlua people, and they were like, "Are you kidding? That book was published over 30 years ago?", and I was like, "Yeah, so? You don't have a copy somewhere??" Luckily I found the book and scanned it for future use in case I lose it again!

Kahlua Pecan Pie and Kahlua Pumpkin Pie, both to DIE FOR! Since it's just the two of us for Thanksgiving, Ron will just do the pumpkin pie, maybe for XMas I'll get him to do the pecan pie! It just doesn't feel like the holidays until Ron starts baking!

It's only Tuesday but Ron is wasting no time, he needs to cook the pumpkin and get it ready for the pies! Oh boy!
