Xmas Holidays '17

Our Holiday Photo
Ron Making some Pumpkin Cheesecake Lasagna
and XMas dinner at Robert and Norms!

Dec-2017-01

Dec-2017-02

Some outtakes - It's always hard to take a photo where the cats don't look like we're trying to kill them!

Dec-2017-03

I love icicle lights and I love putting them up for everyone to enjoy!

Dec-2017-11

Dec-2017-10

I love getting the lights up for the holidays.

Dec-2017-09

Boris was not impressed by the lights or the dessert.  Boris can really destroy a cushion!

Dec-2017-13

What's better than cheesecake? Pumpkin Cheesecake of course! What's better than pumpkin cheesecake?
Pumpkin Cheesecake Lasagna! WOO HOO! I saw this recipe and showed it to Ron,
he then decided to try the recipe without me even hounding him for days!

Dec-2017-12

My man at work!

Dec-2017-14

I'm a big cheesecake fan and I love caramel, so when I saw this recipe I was drooling like a new born baby!

Dec-2017-15

This is the layering part which gives it the "lasagna" name. Cream cheese filling, then graham cracker cookies,
then pureed pumpkin pie like filing. Repeat! Top with caramel and pecans.

Dec-2017-16

I'm so glad he loves to cook because he's SOOOOO GOOD AT IT!

Dec-2017-17

It calls for graham crackers, but they don't have them here, so Ron tried these vanilla cookies as a substitute.

Dec-2017-18

Ron always whistles as he cooks.

Dec-2017-04

Ron's "Pumpkin Cheesecake Lasagna”

Dec-2017-06

"I HAVE TO WAIT 4 HOURS BEFORE TRYING IT???" Argh! We'll let you know how the recipe turned out.

Dec-2017-07

Like many desserts, it's hard to get the first one out of pan without it falling apart.

Dec-2017-08

At first I gave it a "B-", ok, but I wouldn't serve it to company. The 2nd day it got upgraded to a "B+" after it sat in the fridge all night
I think we'll try the recipe again, but try different cookies to substitute for the graham crackers, and get a better quality of caramel to use on top.
The caramel Ron bought tasted kind of waxy.
