Ron starts glazing his own birthday cake, I offered to buy him a cake so he wouldn't have to make his own, but he wanted his famous carrot cake. Yes, that's icing on his face, every good cook needs to test the recipe before presenting it to their guests.

I could never do this but I'm sure glad this man can!

I ordered a "doble" flower arrangement for the table. There is a flower guy around the corner from our apartment, you order it and come back an hour later and you have a nice arrangement for the table for about $12 USA.

Everything is done, just waiting for the guests.

I'm the luckiest guy in the world!

was a little to spicy for most of our Argentine friends.

This is what life is all about! Hernán and Pablo had a previous dinner engagement to
go to, but said they would stop by afterwards to enjoy Ron's carrot cake with us.
Hernán is to Ron's left and Pablo is to his right.

A great way to celebrate Ron's birthday.

We actually had Ron’s dinner the weekend before his birthday, so our working friends could enjoy the dinner without having to worry about getting up early the next morning. Hernán and Pablo brought a bottle of champagne to the dinner party but we didn’t open it then. This is on Ron’s actual birthday day dinner, it was just the two of us but we enjoyed Hernán and Pablo’s champagne and we toasted to Ron’s birthday and to our good fortune to have such a wonderful life together, our family and our great friends. To life!
