Pete’s 52nd Bday! I never really liked my birthday much, but it's a good excuse to invite friends over to share a good meal.
I wanted to make this as a first course.
Ron got the shrimp on the right in china town, I told him those are REALLY SHRIMP SHRIMP, so he went out and got some bigger ones. One disaster averted.
I set the table up with a table cloth I bought in Peru.
These are drink coasters my mom got me, it's so you can remember which drink is yours at a party when you set it down.

Spaghetti and garlic bread was the next course.
Ron makes me a german chocolate cake from scratch every year for my birthday.
Pablo and Hernán brought some masitas to have with coffee. This is an Argentine tradition that you have at least two desserts. First you have dessert, the German Chocolate Cake, then you have masitas with coffee afterwards.
Michael also brought some masitas to share with coffee.

Someone snuck these in, I have a feeling I know who did it. - MICHAEL!!!!!!!!
It's summertime in Buenos Aires so we had all the windows open while we rinse the plates before bed.
I'm sure there is someone who studies the dynamics of random placement of dishes at a party.
